Know Your Rights session at LUMC

Past week, our board members Benthe, Ana and Margrietha organised, together with the LUMC Association for PhD Candidates (LAP) a “Know your rights”-session at the Leiden University Medical Center. The goal of such a session is to give PhD candidates more insight into the different types of contracts as well as the corresponding rights. The session was very interactive with many pressing questions from the PhD candidates. The two representatives from the labour union FNV emphasized the importance of becoming a member of a labor union. Moreover, the recently appointed ombudsperson was present to talk about where PhD candidates can go in case of a conflict. Do you also want to host a “Know your rights”-session at your institute, or do you want to know more about joining a labor union? Feel free to reach out to us via info@hetpnn.nl!
