PNN Vacancy: Board Member Finance & Organizational Development

Activities

As a member of the PNN Finance and Organizational Development board, you will be responsible for the organization's financial affairs. You will also serve as the association's treasurer. You will also play an active role in implementing a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, which PNN receives jointly with PostdocNL. You will:

  • Maintains PNN's financial records and makes payments on behalf of the organization
  • Prepares the budget and prepares the annual financial report
  • You are the co-contact person for the subsidy and contribute strategically to its implementation (including by helping to shape the changes to PNN's organization).

What do we ask of you?

  • You are a PhD candidate at a Dutch university or UMC, or are pursuing your PhD elsewhere
  • You are socially involved, have clear communication skills and enjoy working together
  • You have an affinity for finance. You don't need experience as a treasurer; you'll learn on the job.
  • You are available on average 8 to 12 hours per week (with flexibility during busy periods)
  • You speak and write good English. You also understand enough Dutch to read official documents.

The official installation will take place on Friday, September 19th, during the general members' meeting. We'll also be hosting the handover weekend on September 19th and 20th, which we'd appreciate you attending. If you can't make it, please let us know, and we'll try to find a solution.
