The Dutch PhD Network (PNN) has received with disappointment the subdistrict court's ruling in the case brought by 48 MD/PhD grant-bearing PhD candidates against the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG).

The Dutch PhD Network (PNN) has reacted with shock to the situation at Tilburg University (TiU), where a PhD candidate was denied her doctorate for unclear reasons before Christmas based on her dissertation defense. Chair Meaghan Polack: "It's unbelievable that this is happening at a knowledge institution. This sets an undesirable precedent in Dutch academia."

Since its founding in 1987, PNN has represented PhD candidates in the Netherlands. We are proud to share our plans for 2022.

During the General Members' Meeting (GMM) of September 24th, Meaghan Polack was elected as the new chair of the PhD Network Netherlands (PNN), the advocacy organization for and by PhD candidates.
